This section (together with the documents referred to on it) explains the terms and conditions on which we supply any of the goods or products listed on our (RecFest) online store to you. Please read these terms and conditions carefully and make sure that you understand them, before ordering any Products or Services. You should understand that by ordering any of our Products or Services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

We Reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, at any time.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of service, use of the service, or access to the service and any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission from us. The headings used in this agreement are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these terms. We ask that you abide by these terms that follow, along with any other terms and conditions that may appear on this site. Your use of the site constitutes your agreement with the conditions that follow and we reserve the right to revise these conditions at any time. When we make changes, they will post them here.

Shipping Time Frames and Terms

In the case of Products, your order will be fulfilled/made ready for receipt (as applicable) within a reasonable time of the date indicated at the time of ordering, unless there are exceptional circumstances. Delivery dates are estimates, unless a fixed date for the transactions has been expressly agreed in writing. Delivery periods are given under the reservation that the Orderer meets their contractual duties of cooperation.

In cases of unforeseeable, extraordinary circumstances for which we are not responsible, for example: operational troubles and interruptions due to fire, water, or similar events, failures of production facilities and machines, late delivery, or delivery shortfalls on the part of our suppliers, and interruptions in operation due to a shortage in raw materials, energy or labour, strike, lockout, difficulties in the procurement of transportation means, disruptions or obstructions in traffic, or official intervention, we are – to the extent that the named circumstances prevent us from a timely performance of our obligations – entitled to postpone the performance of the delivery and/or service for the term of the obstruction plus a reasonable start-up time. If, consequently, the performance of the delivery or service is delayed for more than one month, both we and the Orderer are entitled to withdraw from the contract by written notice in respect of the quantities affected by the delay in delivery.

Orders from within Europe aim to be fulfilled within 3-5 days. Dispatched within 3-5 days. Delivery times will vary based on order quantity, location and discretion of supplier.

Orders outside of Europe: North America, Asia, Africa & Oceania. Will need to allow for more time for Dispatch and Delivery based on locations of suppliers. Exact time frames and delivery dates can not be guaranteed within these Terms and Conditions. However tracking and timeframes may be given upon purchase and found within confirmation. Returns Policy

Any claims for misprinted/damaged/defective items must be submitted within 4 weeks after the product has been received. For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 4 weeks after the estimated delivery date. Claims deemed an error on the part of the supplier will be paid at their expense. The return address is set by default to the supplier facility. When we receive a returned shipment, an automated email notification will be sent to you. Unclaimed returns get donated to charity after 4 weeks.

Wrong Address – If you provide an address that is considered insufficient by the courier, the shipment will be returned to our facility. You will be liable for reshipment costs once we have confirmed an updated address with you (if and as applicable).

Unclaimed – Shipments that go unclaimed are returned to our facility and you will be liable for the cost of a reshipment to yourself or your end customer (if and as applicable).

Cancellations – If you would like to cancel the order, it will depend on the order’s status. If the status is ‘Waiting for fulfilment’, we will be able to cancel your order. However if the status is ‘Being fulfilled’, the fulfilment process for the order has started and it is no longer possible to cancel it.

Returns for products, pertaining to size exchanges are to be offered at your expense and discretion. This must be completed within 7 days, you must contact our Customer Service, providing a picture of the item. The withdrawal request will undergo an evaluation to verify whether the product was used or destroyed, even if partial. In these cases, a refund will not be possible.

Notification for EU consumers: According to Article 16(c) and (e) of the Directive 2011/83/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on consumer rights, the right of withdrawal may not be provided for:

  1. the supply of goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or are clearly personalized;
  2. 2. sealed goods which were unsealed after delivery and thus aren’t suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, therefore the supplier reserves rights to refuse returns at its sole discretion.

 

Privacy Disclaimers

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the latest EU data privacy and protection framework. Already passed by all member states the regulatory requirements set out within the GDPR, and those provisioned within the UK’s Data Protection Bill, will come into force on the 25th of May 2018.

PJLJ Ltd, trading as The Recruitment Event Co., is committed to full compliance of this law when it comes into effect on the 25th May 2018. Our compliance has involved our evaluating our internal and external systems; improving and maintaining data security and privacy controls.

 

What information does PJLJ Ltd collect from you?

We collect your name, job title, employer, email address, mobile number, address (store only) and specific questions that relate to that event. We collect these via our “sign-up for alerts” page, registering our events, Store purchases or any of our free resources.

 

How do we use your personal data?

We use your email address to send event alerts and content relevant what you originally sign-up for, in cases of Store purchases we send you conformation and tracking information.
We collect your mobile number to send you location details for events you have signed-up for, in cases of Store purchases, your mobile number will be used to contact you in any rare circumstance there is an issue with your order.
Your personal address will only we be used for shipping your order.
We hold your data for 36 months from registration unless you opt-out ahead of time.

 

Who do we share your personal data with?

We have never sold personal data to a third party and we never will.
If you sign up for an event we may share your details with other attendees of that particular event. You can opt out of this at any time by letting us know.
In regards to Store purchases, this information will only be shared with our suppliers for shipping purposes. However this information is not stored by the supplier

 

Where is your data held?

Hubspot, Google Drive, Printful (store supplier) and Eventbrite. No hard copy of data is ever held. No offline data is ever held on any devices. Data is moved between systems via native integrations and not a 3rd party. All devices with access to your data have been password protected.
In regards to Store purchases, your data is held for shipping purposes and in some cases for invoices.

 

Who has access to my data?

Only full-time employees of PJLJ Ltd have access to your data.

 

What legal basis do we have for using your information?

For clients, subscribers and event attendees our processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in order to be able to communicate with you, respond to your requests and coordinate event activities.

 

 

What happens if you do not provide us with the information we request or ask that we stop processing your information?

If you do not provide the personal information we need we may not be able to communicate with you about the event you have signed-up for.

Do we use Cookies to collect personal data on you?

We use cookies to track what device you use, where you came from and giving you a better website experience.

 

Do we transfer your data outside the EEA?

No, we do not transfer personal data out of the EEA.

 

What rights do you have in relation to the data we hold on you?

By law, you have a number of rights when it comes to your personal data. Further information and advice about your rights can be obtained from the data protection regulator in your country.

Payment Terms and Special Fees

The price of the Products, Services and our delivery charges will be as quoted on our site, except in cases of obvious error. Product and Service prices exclude VAT. However, if the rate of VAT changes between the date of your order and the date of delivery, we will adjust the VAT you pay, unless you have already paid for the Products or Services in full before the change in VAT takes effect. Product and Service prices and delivery charges are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders for Products and/or Services which you then take steps to fulfil/receive within a reasonable time of such order.

Liabilities
If we fail to comply with these terms and conditions, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of the terms and conditions or our negligence. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence of our breach or it was otherwise contemplated by you and us at the time we entered into the relevant Contract.

We only supply the Product and Services for domestic and private use. You agree not to use the product for any commercial, business or re-sale purposes, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.
You understand The Recruitment Events Company/RecFest does not manufacture, store or inspect any of the items sold through our services. We provide the supplier; the items are listed, produced and sold directly by an independent Manufacturer.

We do not in any way exclude or limit our liability for:

  1. death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  2. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  3. any breach of the terms implied by section 13 to 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and sections 3 to 5 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 (description, satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and samples)
  4. defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987; and any other matter for which it would be illegal for us to exclude or attempt to exclude our liability.

All content included in or made available through any PJLJ Ltd service such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, digital downloads, data compilations and software are the property Of PJLJ Ltd and are protected by the international copyright laws. The compilation of all content included in or made available through any PJLJ Ltd service is the exclusive property of PJLJ Ltd

In addition, graphics, logos, page headers, button icons, scripts and service names included in or made available through PJLJ Ltd are trademarks and/or trade dress of PJLJ Ltd. These may not be used in connection with any product or service that is not PJLJ Ltd’s in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among customers, or in any manner that disparages or discredits PJLJ Ltd and all other trademarks (The Recruitment Events Company, RecFest).
